ShipRelay tracks engagement across all three delivery channels so you can see which releases get read.

Dashboard views

  • Per-release breakdown: See page views, email opens, and widget impressions for each published changelog
  • Subscriber growth chart: Line chart showing subscriber count over time
  • Best performing release: The release with the highest total engagement is highlighted

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 12 months. After 12 months, data is automatically pruned.

Privacy

  • Analytics data is visible only to you (enforced by row-level security in the database)
  • Widget impressions use anonymous session IDs — no cookies, no PII
  • Email open tracking is via Resend's standard tracking pixel

Tip

If you're seeing low email open rates, experiment with different audience tones. "User" tone tends to get higher engagement than "Developer" tone for non-technical audiences.
